VALVE INTEGRITY (VALVE SCHOOL)
Our Valve Integrity training course has been designed to help students acquire advanced knowledge of valve components and functions through 1.5 days of accelerated, theoretical instruction. We deliver training at your site and go into your field to practice, developing hands-on skills for correct valve maintenance techniques. We cover off on ball, gate, plug and globe valves.
Through our training students learn to maintain valves, improving life span and pipeline integrity. They learn how to:
- Seal valve
- Use sealant injection equipment
- Service valves using correct procedures
- Troubleshoot leaking valves
As always we focus on safety ensuring students demonstrate an awareness of potentially hazardous situations including:
- How to read a pressure gauge
- Dangerous fittings
- Inline pressure
- Sour gas (H2S)
- Pipeline integrity
- Potential damage to environment
OPERATOR & SITE SAFETY MANAGER
To be a COMPLIANT operator in Queensland, section 670 of the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Regulation 2004 and to comply Australia wide with AS/NZS 4645 requires a Safety Management System (SMS) be written specifically for your Operating Plant.
Operating Plant is described in section 670(2) but typically consists of:
- Any plant consuming more than 50GJ/hr of gas
- A distribution pipeline or system
- A bulk fuel gas storage facility
HEATH SERVICES offer a suite of services to those responsible for operating plant including:
- Developing and writing Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Auditing facilities for compliance (a mandatory part of the requirements for a compliant SMS)
- Risk Assessment of facilities (a requirement of a compliant SMS)
- Training for the positions of Operator and Site Safety Manager to understand statutory obligations and responsibilities of their roles
